The Natural Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Carrots, grated
  • 1 cup shredded wheat cereal, crunched up substitute whole wheat breadcrumbs if you prefer
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded Non-dairy shredded cheddar also works great.
  • 1 cup Raw Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Celery, diced
  • 1 cup Parsley, chopped

The Natural Salad Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Saflower Oil
  • 1 tbsp Tamari
  • 1 tbsp Honey If you do not eat honey, replace with Agave sweetner
  • 2 tsp Basil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Sage optional
  • 1/2 tsp kelp optional

Instructions
 

  • Toss all the ingredients in a bowl. This recipe can be doubled or tripled for a big crowd and adjust ingredients to taste, it makes a full salad. Pour and toss dressing over the salad when you are ready to serve. I think it is delicious the next day as the ingredients absorb the dressing adding to the flavor. So Yummy, just ask my kids!
