The Power of 5 The Ultimate Formula for Longevity and Remaining Youthful by David Bernstein, MD, as the title itself makes clear, is a health book. Another book on how to have a healthy life? Isn’t this market already full of similar books? These questions sound reasonable, dear readers, but I will now explain why this book is unique.

The first point to highlight is related to the author’s professional qualifications. David Bernstein is a renowned physician who is board certified in Geriatrics and Internal Medicine. He has expert skills, but he also lives the lifestyle he preaches in the book. Someone with decades of experience and professional training cannot be accused of not knowing what he is doing.

Another aspect that makes this book unique is the way it was structured. I have read several health books, but I have never read a book so complete and helpful. According to David, five ‘S’ affect people’s health: Sweets, Sweat, Stress, Sleep, and Sex. He covered all five of these items in specific chapters to show the do’s and don’ts. Several myths of the fitness industry will fall apart after the reader completes these chapters.

There is a lot of scientific content in the book, but the author wrote it so that the reading was light and pleasant. David provided real-life examples from his patients (with fictitious names to preserve the privacy of these people) and proved how they came to have a complete life after they decided to take care of their health. If the book had been written in any other way, the reader could be bored. The same is not true here.

After all, is there anything to be criticized in this book? I didn’t find anything that I didn’t like. At the end of the book, there are even examples of healthy recipes. It is a complete and unique book. I found so few grammatical errors that there is no doubt that The Power of 5 The Ultimate Formula for Longevity and Remaining Youthful was professionally edited.

All in all, The Power of 5 The Ultimate Formula for Longevity and Remaining Youthful deserves four out of four stars. There is nothing to be criticized here. As its name implies, the book was written for people to live healthier lives and live longer. After all, who doesn’t want that? So it is clear that everyone should read this book.
